I have a coin dated 1861. The obverse of the coin is identical to the Coronet half cent. The reverse is totally smooth. They didn't make the half cent in 1861. Anybody know what it is? Thanks.

Sounds like it might be a Civil War Token (CWT), but I am not familiar with these, so I cannot offer any more help.

That looks like a German made jeton type piece, what do you think Edward/Kuhli?

The picture is small, but even to an untrained English eye, it really doesn't look real.
