Shipping a Gold Coin from the US to the UK?

Recommended Posts

Guest Lisa

Hi,

I recently won an auction from Amercia and the seller is concerned about custom charges and insurance against lost (the auction being for a 1 oz £250 Gold Coin).

Can i ask is there a way to avoid custom charges (such a ticking the item as a 'gift'), and how much do you think it would cost for shipment including insurance.

Thanks for your time

Ticking it as a gift would be tax evasion and/or fraud. Just ask him to fedex it over, I think their rates are quite cheap....

It shouldn't be too expensive and it should be relativly quick.
