Some truly amazing coins, all!  Those Charles 1 halfcrowns that @Paulus has posted are simply stunning!!

Here's my paltry recent acquisition.

Not very interesting?

I don't know why you bother to be honest. I'd be happy with either of those.

I am more than happy with it, but I was under the impression that most penny collectors  had one ,and they weren't that hard to get .

They're very hard to get in high grade.

As is any single die combination for any Victorian penny, to be fair. Just not enough made.

Less than fine . Mines was the £35 one .No idea if it was a decent price for it , but I thought it was worth a punt.

Spink has it booked at £100 in VF, so £35 is probably about right, because there is going to be a base price for something scarce enough to be desirable which doesn't necessarily reflect the normal grade:price ratios. I suspect there is likely to be a 'date visible' price of say a fiver, then a starting price for the rest.

I don't have one, but I don't know why you thought it wouldn't be interesting. :)

Just landed. Forging ahead with my Charles I halfcrown collection, this (my first) Briot First Milled Issue example

That's quite pleasing. No flaws or marks and even wear. :)

Well I finally completed my set of Threehalfpences - thanks to a tip off from a fellow forum member:

This 1837 date seems to be far and away the most difficult to find.

Getting quality YH shillings (and GH florins) is so difficult. So I would be very happy with that Paddy.

Brought my first ever bronze coins as type examples and a bit of fun. Awaiting delivery. Common dates, but look quite nice. Not totally sure about the grades and so suggestions welcome.

I'd say the 1887 was AUnc (just a tiny bit of rubbing on the reverse). I'd rate the 1902 as virtually BU.
