Wow! Very nice toning of what looks to be a slight rose colouration & decently struck.

Not an 1821 (I've never seen counterfeit half-crowns of that year) but a reel fine upgrade of a fairly common 1820 variation which is often found with weakly strucked reverse (sunken die) just as my previous best example below.

Found this jammed into a fugly brooch mount and couldn't resist, even though there is minor damage to the rim on the obverse.

I got these two medals with a job lot of silver proof crowns and things...  I think they are recent reprints and commemorative medals rather than coins...  but this platinum plated Wellington medal is a jaw dropping piece of shiny eye candy imo. I looked them up and they seem to go for about £40 to £45 but I am not sure what they are supposed to fetch.

I am guessing the 1815 silver medal is a commemorative copy too, lol.

They are different to the coins I usually collect and I quite like them.  Might sell them sometime, but like having them for now. :-)

This also came with it  -  looks like a tourist piece of tat really, but I still like it - It is very mirrored/proof like. I don't know if it is a tourists souvenir or a commemorative thing - I can't find any info on them. Anyone know if these have silver content? Maybe a blend. It doesn't 'seem' like pure silver to the touch or eye, but might be a mix with some base metal, IDK.  Is massive though!  lol....   and very shiny, I put an old Victoria crown coin in the last pic for size comparison. .

Anyone know what these are? I saw something similar when looking about for it on the net but couldn't pinpoint it.Would be nice if it had even a little silver in it, but I am not sure. Nice lump though.

It arrived today and the coin has an even gold - olive tone with rose colouration. Very pleased!

10 years is not exactly "recent acquisition" but it is really very nice with eye appeal.

Neither was Paulus's Gothic. I was just posting mine to compare notes.

Only teasing. A Gothic crown is very pretty especially when it has few contact marks.

This is actually my most recent acquisition in the British collection - just an upgrade.

I think this one is a pretty good example for a 1920 halfcrown

1723 George I Hibernia halfpenny. Looks a decent example although there is an extra mark before the word Georgius.

I wasn't happy with my 1787 Shilling without hearts example, so I have just upgraded to this (seller's pics)1787_sh_wo_hearts_02_ref_01559_01_seller

And for the third time I share this my latest purchase - King John 5C from the Douglas Bayern collective, whoever he might be! Rather pleased!
