Recommended Posts

Hi Penny Master,

I have a 1901 farthing in UNC, and a gold gilt 1900 farthing in GEF. I am very pleased with them. Oh yeah, and I have an 1844 half farthing in GEF+. They are my best if we are going by grade, but they are also my favourite coins, along with an 1843/34 threehalfpence, a gothic florin and an 1845 crown with a very low mintage. :D

I have a cartwheel penny (10 leaves) in VF+ condition with lustre around George III's head...an EF lustrous 1854 (OT) penny...but my favourite coin is a Bunc. 1902 Edward VII and Alexandra coronation crown... :)

I love those Victorian pre 1860 pennies. I wish I had one in that sort of condition.

Wow, that must be a really nice coin to have. I would like to get a sovereign of Willian VI but my budget won't stretch that far just yet!

Oh it is but I'm thinking of selling it to raise money to buy more farthings!

With that sort of money, you could buy an 1849 farthing in UNC. The best place to look is Colin Cooke's special farthing section.

Oh I have! I splurged about £75 a few weeks ago, significantly furthering my goal to get all farthings in BU condition between 1902 and 1956

If you do manage to meet your goal it will be nothing short of impressive to any Numismatist!

Nope.

(PS Sorry I had to go earlier, I was using a computer at my local library, where I can use the internet for an hour a day, but I had 30 seconds left.)

Thats okay, also, I don't know anyone in my area who is interested in numismatics, I suppose we are a bunch of specially selected people with the best hobby ever.

My scanner's gone dodgy all the colour is out - picture blue farthings and you get the picture! I'll try to get it fixed and post but don't hold your breath!

I'm about halfway there. I reckon i'll be finished by Christmas if I keep this pace up! It's the Edward VII ones I'm dreading - it's going to be rather costly
