There will be books on how to write it but the point of it is speed - having a dictionary would hamper it.

better look up squiggle in the dictionary, hmm now is it the squiggle with the loop, or the squiggle with the flick?

Shorthand looks nasty! I wouldn't want to learn it! If a shorthand dictionary was made, what sort of order would it be in...it would take hours to look for a single word, sorry squiggle, and the whole point of shorthand would be wrecked! :wacko:
