I have done 4 posts so far during I.C.T lessons (bearing in mind that I have not been a member for very long).

Do you get permission? I do it when we're aloud to use the internet for research so no one will notice I'm on the internet when I shouldn't be! :P

I prefer writing to typing, it takes me too long to type i'm a much faster writer.

(and a much messier writer).

I am faster at writing too, but I'm beginning to prefer typing cos writing hurts my hand a bit

Writing hurts your hands after a few lines. I prefer typing.

I assume people who can touch type do prefer typing cos they're so fast, no?

I would imagine so, you would have to ask his royal highness Emperor Oli.

Can you touch type Penny Master, or is it just HRH Emperor Oli?

Unfortunately I can't but I can type quite fast.

I can type fast but can't touch type either. I tried to learn how, but got bored of it as it took ages and it was not very enjoyable at all!

I tried to learn ages ago but i just couldn't do it.

well i'm a one finger typinst, and i have to keep both eyes fixed on the keyboard whilst i am typing, so that i can actually see what letter i'm going for, although i do know where they are located. At least i'm not having to look around for the letters all the time.

The funny bit is i can only type with one hand (and one finger), but i can write with both hands. :D

I don't mind either. Typing is advantageous for me as it's quick but I like writing and I'm learning shorthand which is hellish - all squiggles and dots. My writing is pretty neat and swirly but I smudge it occasionally as I'm left-handed.

I am right handed. What is short hand?

I am right-handed aswell.

Shorthand is what secretaries used to (some still do) write. They used it when their Superior was dictating a letter or a memo. All it is is squiggles etc which represent the sounds of the words. It is remarkably quick and quite easy to decipher - or so I've been told

Yes the joy of short hand, i wouldn't have a clue.

Funny that Oli i'm predominantly left handed too. I write at least 95% of things with the left hand, unfortunately it's the least legible of the two.

The right hand kills after two paragraphs, which would take me at least 15 minutes to write.

But it's useful for writing on blackboards, and short notes on the calendar if the t'other one is unavailable.

To be quite honest, I wouldn't have a clue either, but with a little learning, I could probably grasp the concept.

No, you couldn't. The people who actually write this studied it at schools for years.
