So all these internet programs are different then? But it must be something other than the above list because I am using Firefox.

They are all slightly different, but behave in a similar fashion. I've just tried it with Firefox (v24.0) and I can "Save Image As..." by right clicking the image (when expanded).

And if all else fails you can use the PrtScn button to capture the full screen then crop down to the image(s) in something like Paint.net and save

I'm guessing you'd lose a lot of the resolution though, wouldn't you?

Yes, but it's better than nothing.

Really? That's strange. On Macs you can capture an on-screen image and you lose none of the resolution. (None of the DISPLAYED resolution that is - if the displayed image is 300ppi then yes, you'd lose that, but since the images on eBay are for records only, you wouldn't them any higher than your monitor can display anyway. In other words, 72 or 90 ppi will remain 72 or 90 ppi forever, however many times you capture it with a screenprint.)

I get very good results using the PrtScn method. All of the pics in my CGS Trial threads are done using this method, and take about 1 minute each to produce. I could right-click and save the images, but it is quicker and easier to PrtScn them seeing as I want to crop them and convert them to png files in Paint.net anyway.

This annoys me. Mentioning WRL and then subtly slipping 'copy' into the description.

The description of 'when you are purchasing from me, you are buying a piece of history' is amusing. Yes, 21st century history.

Precisely. Especially as you can have twice as large a 'piece of history' on a keyring for a fraction of the cost here.

Ah yes, Feng Shui. One of the first ever fallouts I had with someone over coins. I bought something about 5 years ago (maybe more), one side was the right coin but he's used a stock photo for the other side as it had been in a Whitman or something so the obverse was knackered. He also described it as UNC and when I challenged him on that he swore blind that UNC stood, as everyone knew, for UNCleaned.

I think he was pissed when he wrote the email because he accused me of bullying him (!), and then got quite tearful at the end.

He's been excluded from my saved searches ever since...

Individuals like that are somewhat irritating.

I think he might know his stuff, he specialises in copper proof halfpennies, he's got others for sale! :D

This seller really DOES need a flash! ;)

Convince me. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1757-George-II-Plain-Edge-Copper-Proof-Halfpenny-/181233298765?pt=UK_Coins_BritishMilled_RL&hash=item2a3258ad4d This is a non-existent date for a halfpenny, let alone a year where there are no proofs, only currency.

He can't get it more wrong than that, then? Oh, boy! :)

I had a Jiffy bag arrive today from Lockdales. Now, I haven't won anything from one their auctions in a while, so I was a little perplexed. Upon opening I realised it was a coin from eBay. They trade under a wholly different name.

Obverse isn't even EF, reverse is better though.

Cleaned/dipped perhaps also

I wouldn't grade either side as EF, tons of wear in the centre of the reverse ...

The obverse looks dipped, the reverse less so. Perhaps, dipped a long while back and now re-toning.
