Unless it is in perfect "mint state" condition, it is only worth £2. Even in "mint state" condition, it is only worth £3-5, definitely not a rare coin by any means.

Yeah, I asked at a bank once if they had any rare or strange coins, and the teller said 'Those 1997 £2 coins are you looking for?'

I couldnt believe it, millions and millions of the things were minted...out of every 10 £2 coins you get in your change 2-3 will be 1997 ones.
