To quote the ebay 'seller':

'Its a very good chance to complete a penny collection, or indeed a 'head' colllection.'

Well I'd love a collection of head! You'd probably get a lot of head for £250! ;)

Really pisses me off when I see the old car salesman phrase used when describing coins....

'Good condition for age'!!! Crap, they should be in perfect condition regardless of age!

this one

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...3&category=3397

wants £50+ for a coin without providing a picture

and this one really takes the breath away

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...8&category=3397

£75 for this set of reproductions (£300 buyitnow!)

when Colin Cooke still sells them for £32.50

A "head" collection: Talk about dumbing down! I can't believe he expects £50 without a picture, let alone for an 1892 penny! These people have absolutely NO IDEA!

That's what happens when amateurs are free to sell any specialised item to a global audience with no experience. And ebay laugh all the way to their American bank.

I'd use the trading descriptions act with that one, and demend he sent me the 3 coin gold Britannia set shown in the picture!

They just waste space on ebay for when your actually looking for a serious item.

He's got a "0" feedback rating so that tells you a lot! I remember a few months ago I say another £1 up for sale - supposedly from the set of Eastenders and held by one of the "actors". The last time I looked the bidding was at...........£40!
