I can post a link to a video, but I see people posting a video, and the post shows the video picture,

rather than just a strip of text, and I cannot see how to do this.....

Start the video playing on you tube and right click anywhere on the video itself. Then left click on "copy video URL".

Then to post here, right click on the post and click "paste" from the menu. The wording of the link will show for a few seconds, then change to the actual video picture. 

More fiddly on a mobile device.

I've tried this and it all worked thank you!

Unfortunately, I get the forbidden 403 again...what is going on...

I can't do much with that one either. Of course, it's not on you tube. It's embedded in facebook. That may be the reason it's caused issues.

The ordinary you tube video you should have no problem posting direct in picture form.

Ahh...I tried to post it from twitter and it gave me a 403.

I don't 'do' Twitter or Facebook, I'll hasten to point out....

this clip isn't on Youtube for some reason.

I must experiment....
