High End Auction Houses

Recommended Posts

Any recommendations, it's a five figure coin and I've narrowed it down to Sovereign Rarities or DNW. Sorry but can't give any more detail. Not looking for other suggestions just which one would you go for out of the two.

First thing I would do is find out the commission if any for sellers. Then I would look at their prices for similar coins in the past. That info will help you make a choice.

I find both good but as a purchaser only.

You may not have to pay any commission at all - IMO tell them you are trying to find the right venue & can they give you either no commission or, say a - 5% or so - I have gotten this on some better lots before at "big"  auction houses (on this side of the Atlantic).

Thanks guys.  I do regularly consign but this is something extremely special so just wanted to hear if there were any horror stories with either of the two.

If it is "extremely special" say over £25,000-£50,000 Japan or America might do better.
