Hi all

Is this coin the real deal?

A friend has this for sale for his Dad he said it was bought in the states in the early sixties

It looks a very nice coin for its age.

The weight and dimensions are perfect.

Is there any chance of grade and a rough price guide.

thanks for any help.

Looks legit - maybe MS63 which if so and graded means about 1850-1875 USD.

This is more of a MS64 or MS64+ coin IMO. The large gold bruise easily and PCGS in particular are not harsh about minor bag marks or edge damage on these. What will keep it from getting a higher grade is probably the bagmarks on the nose and under the eye.
