Hi all.

Thought I would share this little Gem with you.

This coin was the start of 30 odd years of Treasure Hunting.

Only found one more Celtic coin in all that time.

Beautiful coin.

Beautiful. I once found two dobunnic silver units on one day- on a ‘worked out” Roman site- and I have had one other silver and a Thames Valley gold plated but nice stater;  never a full gold but it will come. Not plentiful in Wales where my old permissions are. But I have had a couple of hammered gold, and hundreds of silver hammies.

Some nice finds then Jerry.

I would love to detect wales just for the breath taking landscapes. I'm mainly in the midlands and a few rally's dotted around the country.

One of my old sites has been ok over the years and worked out!! as i thought.

Not the case as a club got permission on a few of the fields, some lovely finds came off including a lovely Stater. So I will never write off a field.

I'm sure if you keep going at it your gold Stater will show its face.
