I got confirmation of my 'wins' from LCA.

I got the 1848 sixpence and the 1884 sixpence.

I've seen about 6 of the different 1877 narrow dates, and the one at the LCA auction is by far the best one of all of them. I was going to bid on it, but felt it would get into 10k pounds, because of the condition, and that was more than I wanted to pay. I would bet money it went to Cardiff! He already has three of them! 😊

Below is the 1877 ND that I sold a few years ago. The one in the LCA Auction was in better condition, in my opinion, though mine went for more than twice the LCA price!

If I'd known in advance it was going to go for considerably less than five figures I'd have gone for it myself. Although with another bidder in the equation it might have pushed the bid to beyond my limit. 

I suppose Cardiff's logic is that the more he possesses, the more the price each individual piece still remaining will command, as the rarity is increased considerably with each one removed from potential future sale.

I did have a close look at this one in hand and it isn't that much better than the others plus it's got a nasty gouge on the queen's face. It's not as nice as the one you sold Bob.
