Help with PF66 Crown 1893 price

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

just looking to see if there is something additional abut the rarity for this and this justifies the high price?

PF66

Other PF66 sold for about $8-10k so this one is slightly higher, ESC doesnt list any proof varieties so at a bit of a loss.

e.g. this part set 4 coins contains a PR67 and sold for $16k

thanks in advance

As per Forrest Gump: " Run, Forrest, Run". I don't get these huge prices for coins that are very different than supposedly lesser siblings. I have a proof 64 Cameo that, even though is my coin is within spitting distance at 5% of the price.

IMO, these hyper grade with huge price tags are enormous risks for most collectors, excepting of course the Tyrant collector...

:o

And that's WITH "For the sake of completeness, a few spots of foreign matter are noted around Victoria's head". You  mean, the coin would be incomplete without a few spots of foreign matter???
