1912 Gold Sovereign

Recommended Posts

I have found a nice shiny 1912 half sovereign or sovereign coin.

can anyone say how much it might be worth?

We need more clues, size and pictures would be a start, weight if you have accurate scales. When you say ‘found’, do you mean detected? If picked up cheap in a car boot sale, it could easily be a replica.

No, found it in a box when having clear out in my house.

Its about 3g in weight but I’m not sure how accurate the scales are.

seems in really nice condition and I can’t see any scratches on it.

Any help or advice would be appreciated,

Thanks, 👍🏻

I believe it’s a half sovereign diameter of 19

It looks OK to me from the photos, if a genuine half sovereign is worth about £100 depending on current bullion prices at time of sale.
