Christie

1912 Penny

Recommended Posts

Found this 1912 penny in an old box of coins. I am wondering whether it is worth anything and how to seek valuations on the other coins.

Here is a picture of the coin.

Hi Christie.

The coin pictured 1912 H penny the H stands for Heaton Mint who struck it.

Most coins of just year type need to be in collectable / better condition with more detail.

Such as being able to see the fingers /shield/letters etc.

For that reason that one is worth nothing and if the other coins are all kept in a box together and look similar they are probably of know value.

Maybe take a picture of the one you think looks the best and see if you have a penny dated 1860-1863 which may be worth something ,alternatively 1864 or 1869.

Pete.

Thank you for your reply I'll have a look there are quite a few some are really poor and some look brand new and I also have a variety of silver coins that I need to have a look at.

Thanks again
