Just wondering if the date on this coin has a normal 6, 9 . they both look like the same open backed punch,

is this correct for this date?

Looks ok to me. Third coin below uses the same punch. Inverted 6 is a 9 and vice-versa.

Cheaper & easier to overstamp the individual numbers than create a whole new die. Seems to be a really common theme on Elizabethan coinage.

hi not really suitable die cutting in the dark,

figures for 3ds obverse dies 11, reverse dies 15 ( numbers found and published) 3 different punches for 9/6 7 dies use the broken 9/6. 32 individual coins seen
