Henry III class 6c1 (Ex-Mass collection)

Recommended Posts

I've always wanted an Ex-J.P. Mass in my hammered coin collection so I bought this on Friday. It's a Henry III VIc1 penny (the first 'short cross' class of Henry after bad king John?) ... I really like the elaborate lettering in the legend! :)

That's a real beauty. What's the reverse like? I have a couple of ex mass short cross coins.

The reverse is not so nice [Walter on LVN], but nevertheless it's always good to have an ex-Mass in ones collection :)

Superb quality reverse, though of course we could nit-pick about the central strike, as I'm sure you already have, though it really is nit picking when so many other factors are spot on! Nice one, I say! :)
