Edward penny ? identification

Some help required from the hammered buffs out there .Another hammered that I am having trouble identifying (really need to get a book )A bit beat up but has a lot of decent detail . No automatic alt text available.

It's doesn't seem an english emission , I'd go for a contemporary continental penny

Thanks , I couldn't find a mint with the lettering thats visible .That would explain it .
