The most important thing is.........What do you think ?.

If you could see them in hand and all as good i would probably buy them all........Its ebay and if it goes PETE TONG you only have yourself to blame.

The seller has atleast another nine and the one you purchased is really nice but are the others ?.

If they are copies, he must surely be using someone else's pictures. A group of genuine coins might possibly contain examples of complete and broken E coins, but copies would be all from the same batch, i.e. full or broken E, but highly unlikely both. It might be worth buying a second example to compare. If genuine, £50 is a steal. If not you can get your money back.

Strange alright that he only has 1841s for sale right enough and no

Parcels do turn up of the same denomination that have been put away.

About two years ago over twenty 1841 Pennies were all graded highly and were apparently found in paper.

This was believable as you could still see print on some as most were full lustre.

Oh and by the way........We heard you first time declan........

Now if it was say, a roll of these 1841 halfpennies he has, would they not all be in mint condition? The coin i bought plus the other one he has listed (twice) both have faults in them and at best, in my opinion, could be described as almost uncirculated.

Pete - I've sometimes found that when I post on my phone it will cause a duplicate posting on some forums. Might be that.

It might be.

I must admit, I'm almost inclined to buy one myself if only for the curiosity factor.

I also had one from this seller. Could anyone offer some advise on the marks Obverse please? I cannot see any verd etc but there is the obvious discolouration. I would welcome people thoughts. Should I leave it? Bath it in acetone etc?

Probably grease spots from the die, you wont be able to remove them, if unhappy, ask to exchange for one without

Thanks @Chingford, I am not unhappy just concerned it may lead to corrosion etc but if they are inert then I am fine. I believe he has sold them all now but this is an upgrade.

Here's the other one i purchased from this seller. A few light scratches but still at least EF condition in my humble opinion. Ok for £50.
