Edward half groat I.D help please.

Recommended Posts

I was given this a little while ago by a neighbour who knows I'm interested in coins.

A half groat of one of the Edwards but, anything pre 1550-ish being out of my comfort zone, that's as far as I'm able to go. The double struck obverse has some pellets in the field, and there's a ring in the outer legend (above the N of London) on the reverse

Thanks.

It's definitely Edward III, looks to be a Pre-treaty period issue, potentially type C.

From what I can see with these photos, yes.
