Alpine lake, altitude 8000ft, Sierra Nevada, when Yosemite was burning.

That’s wonderful. I was born in the Shetlands, spent my first six years on Fair Isle where my dad was the warden of the bird observatory. I have never been back, despite fond early memories. I must remedy that.

Sometimes a weather shot turns up quite unexpectedly and you just have to be quick with the camera, just as this did over my front gate a couple of years back.   :D
