Hi Guy,

Sorry I can't help you on your search for double florins, I have a single 1890 variant and a standard one and a pretty poor quality one at that, however it's one of my first coins so pretty attached to it. However curious about JEB, am I missing something as it's not an inscription I am familiar with, or am I being a dump ass as usual?

JEB are the initials of the designer of the Jubilee coinage portrait, Sir Joseph Edgar Boehm.  The initials appear on the truncation of Victoria's neck.

LOL dump ass as usual, my df is so bad I can only now just make out the JEB, had to look at a nicer crown to see a decent example.

I think I can help with your missing 1887 double florins but be prepared to find there are more varieties than you have listed. both missing proof Arabic and Roman I are in current auctions but be prepared to part with £1,000 Look on sixbid or The Saleroom.com. the currency 1+B I have duplicates. What condition did you want or roughly how much do you want to spend? There is of course the 2+A proof as well as the 2+B, 2+Bclose 7 and the 1+A proofs The 2+B  is most common.

Hi

I am looking for the best set of Double Florins I can get.

Can you let me know what prices you have on your DF's

I have a substantial amount of coins of which there maybe one or two you may need. What denominations do you collect ?

Regards

Guy

I only collect 1887 now but have type sets and a tray of Ed I pennies. I could find a home for a George I halfcrown in the type sets. The missing 1887 stuff is getting rather rare or expensive. I will try your email.
