Pete, just hang on to it until you sell me another penny eh? Not sure it's worth posting on its own?

But thank you, I'm grateful. :D

PETE! :o

I thought the Edinburgh was going to be one you'd picked out of your change, not a shiny BU one!

Thanks very much indeed. I owe you a pint. ;)

Once again you send me a coin that makes the rest look crap. I might spend it on sweets.

Edinburgh ones are supposed to be the rarest? I have around 7 of them! :o I've found them almost common in Northern Ireland, the Cardiff one too. I've only ever seen a few London or Belfast ones.

The one place I didn't expect to get a Cardiff and complete my set was at the Midland Coin Fair. Given to me in change by a dealer who had trays of them for sale. :D

Its great what a mention on the BBC news can do for the price of the capital cities £1 coin. They have more than doubled in price overnight. Wish i had bought a few when they were £6.

Aparently the old pounds only have another week in circulation - I dont realy know about anywhere else but around here I would say at least two out of ten circulateing coins are round pounds .

I can see this date being put back early in the week.

Banks have no real interest in taking the coins out of circulation because they are not being paid for it

Probably time to start handing them back if you get them as change in a shop.
