Hi everyone.

 

I need help with this coin i purchased it and need help to judge if it is genuine. If anyone is an expert on Roman coins i would be grateful. Thank you

It's unlikely to be copied in that state, but given your concerns, why buy it if you aren't happy it is genuine? Obviously you won't have paid more than a pound or so, but you could get a VF Roman for a tenner or little more. Also, if in doubt, buy from a reputable dealer who will refund you if there is a problem.

Hi, i am a total newbie to roman coins and purchased this for quite cheap. I was curious if it was genuine and to know what date is is approxiamately. Thanks for your response

Looks mid to late 4th century from the portrait, but I cant be more specific. Looks a genuine detector found to me.

Could be one of these although this is of Gratian But Valentinian also used the 'Warrior dragging captive' motif.

Roman Gratian AE3 17mm 

circa 380
