Not great quality, but a friend got me interested in these , so picked these up on eBay.

Does anybody know if there is a published list of these token's type and varieties?

Would love one of these as it is local to me, Bet @bhx7 would too?

I'm not aware of anything published, but interest in these has greatly increased in the past few years. Along with the prices.

Fleabay seem to be selling them between £10 -£15 but not in great condition, it would be so helpful to know which branches / sizes were the scarcer.

There also seems to be a number of examples counter stamped with a letter and I have not seen any explanation as to why these tokens were counter stamped.

I've got one of those, chanced upon it the other day. It's 1/2lb and '13 Wellgate Dundee 1876' on the other side. £5 and it's yours (inc post).

Token arrived today, thanks Chris, nice grade and great price. You know where I am if you "chance upon" any others :)

Ok. I can't remember how long I had that. Big coincidence that I'd found it a couple of days before you posted this topic.
