Hi all,

Have any of you used an iphone add on macro lens to photograph your coins. If you have do you:

a.have any pics.

b. Any recommendations on the best add on macro lens for iphone 6.

In a way echoing what Dave said, I find my android nexus 7 tablet takes excellent coin photos.

Not sure about the ipad Paul, but it does get good results especially when trying to take pictures of coin sets, point and click, job done

There seems to be a new thing going around at the moment that looks like a miniature telescope, it clips over the camera lens on your phone and is basically a macro lens.

You can get one with a fish eye too, it looks pretty good, but not sure how good for photos of coins.

Here's a link to one of the more expensive ones, but you can get some as cheap as a fiver it seems.

I saw some pictures a lad was doing with a cheap one in the pub a few weeks ago,he had only paid a couple of pound for it and the pictures were really good.

I bought a cheap macro lens for my iphone 4s from amazon last year more for my curiosity than necessity ( usually I use a Nikon reflex ) . The results are quite good ...
