  1. I would be grateful for some help with the error of an E over an R in DEF in the 1817 half crown please. I understand there are a few errors in the 1817 half crown but I cannot find any reference for this one it appears in the two specimens I have found to be a triple error E/E but also E/R. THe E over R in DEI is recognised on the obverse I have three specimens I have collected but I would be interested if anyone collects GIII half crowns if they could let me know your thoughts...many thanks
  2. A purely selfish move to take images and catalogue the few hundred I have and the hard task to identify these crazy characters has motivated me to start a thread so that some others could join in on my confusion with these illegal entities which now have their own fan club, admittedly mostly the American Market. But I know many of you have some, if not a lot, and thought you might help me out. The Only reference I have are some past papers from the BNS and a book by R Coleman and I am in need of help finding a book??/ by Atkins that the americans are always referring to . Hope it's OK to press on ?
  3. Just a quick sanity check, hope people don't mind! I would grade this very common coin as GVF/aEF, am I about right? You know how it is when you keep staring at a coin ...
  4. Hi all, I'm new to this forum and quite new to coin collecting. I just wandered if I could get some opinions about the grade of this 1807 half penny and possible value? Many thanks in advance.
