    1860 Penny

Yes, it's an attractive colour, isn't it. Here's another 1860 I've been given. The colour on the obverse is odd but what I'd like to know is: which obverse is it? I think it is different to my first coin (the ribbon doesn't look the same). Also: is the reverse the same as my first coin? Thank you.

I think Secret Santa is using a Gouby scale for his pennies which goes from R1 to R9. On that list R7 is 26-50 examples.

    1860 Penny

Thank you all for the information. Secret Santa, that's a very useful list you have. I see, on a scale of 1 to 9, the penny is rated R7. Does this mean it is very rare?

    1860 Penny

Hi all. Could someone tell which Spink obverse/reverse this penny is please? The rim borders are noticeably different each side.

Vox populi translates as 'voice of the people'. Did you mean Hoi polloi ('the masses')?
