Do you have any left Paddy ?
  5. I had a quick look at the obvious ones in Krause .Canadian 1 cent is a flat topped 3, Jamaica is different and Guernseys 1903 was done by Heatons .If it is a punch for a foreign one , it will take a bit of work or good luck to find it.

    1905 Halfcrown

Looking for a 1905 Half crown .Not looking for anything special , just a gap filler .There is a dealer selling some for £325 on Ebay , but would prefer to ask about before I buy one .Something similar for a bit cheaper (preferred) , or something a touch better for the same price . Many thanks Mick https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284108174604?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=585599426080&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Would probably set you back £500 nowadays. My 1905 florin has the same sort of colour /tone .

    1905 Halfcrown

I got a nice 1904 penny that was advertised like that .I asked for pics and the seller sent me 3 to choose from .If he had told me it was pot luck , I wouldn't have bothered. I would have went down the same route with these. I am struggling to find one within my budget . Michael Gouby has a couple , but they are no better grade /price than the ebay ones . I have found a few other dealers wanting more for poorer examples. The more I look , the ones on Ebay are looking more reasonably priced (at least for the better ones). I would normally pick this type of thing up at my local collectors fairs , but they stopped due to Covid , and aren't starting up again .Scotland has only a handful of dealers and even less collectors fairs .

    1905 Halfcrown

Not my thing , although I do have a 1933 penny of oriental origins .Collecting on a budget can be frustrating at times .

    1905 Halfcrown

Looking at past results .ones in similar condition are £150 -250 .I know they were slightly pricey and massively overgraded as well .Hence why I thought I would ask on the forum first .The lack of collectors fairs up north is making it harder to pick up bargains.

    ebay clearout

The F25 and 1865 pennies are better than what I have .I have stuck a couple of bids on them to remind me to keep an eye on them . Even if I don't win them , I will at least bid them up a bit.

    1837 and 1845 pennies

Looking for a couple to complete my date run. Not looking for anything great .Fair to fine will do .As long as they are not holed , polished or corroded .

    1837 and 1845 pennies

Finally got an 1845. That's me completed my penny date run . Now to upgrade them lol .
  14. I had the Pfizer one (1st dose) about 6 weeks ago .Felt fine the next day , apart from a bit of a sore arm .The following couple of days , I felt like I was coming down with the flu .Was even laid up in bed for most of the 2nd day .Hopefully the next one isn't as bad .

    More Pennies

Couple of newbies .Been after a decent 1904 for a while (at a fair price ). And picked up a low grade 1909 ON'E Penny .I saw it when I bought my better one , and it was still unsold 2 weeks later (so I decided to add it to the pile) .

    1837 and 1845 pennies

Sometimes you just get lucky .I will get one eventually , so I will just plod along upgrading the rest of my collection as I go.

    1837 and 1845 pennies

I thought after getting the 1843 , 49 and 56 ,they would be easier . I did see a few 1837's , but they were either high grade (and out of my price range) or went for more than I thought they were worth . I was 2nd bidder 3 times in a row on ebay (at over £70) for ones that were less than fine , but of a grade I could live with.Book price of a Fine 1845 is £15 , but that is highly unrealistic .I will hopefully get one about Fine for £50-60 .........eventually .
  18. Top four are boxed . 2 green , 2 burgundy .Last one is from a proof set .I had a couple of dozen , but kept 4 because of the different box types .Matchbox type and lift off lid ,in each colour .Looks like verd on the proof set one , but it must be my photographic skills as it isn't visible on the coin itself .
  19. I have dug my four boxed ones out .Looking at the dragons wing webbing alone .One has all the webbing .one is missing a part of a section , one is missing a full section and the other is missing 2 sections .I will stick pics up when I get a chance .

    Ebay's BEST Offerings

    £440 .Decent example https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COIN-UNITED-KINGDOM-ONE-PENNY-BRITANNIA-EDWARD-Vll-BRONZE-1909-/154328988309?hash=item23eeb97a95%3Ag%3ARxkAAOSwagJgJqJA&nma=true&si=zGNhOPeEfsB5VMffTHlQjngAylU%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

    Ebay's BEST Offerings

Having a look on Richards site . The hand on rev D has more pronounced knuckles on the front , rev E it seems to be more of a straight line . Also the r/h/s trident prong on D points to a gap , but on E it points to a tooth .The hand difference would probably be noticeable on coins with more wear ,but if you can't tell whether the 1 points to a tooth , it is doubtful you could work out where the trident is pointing .

    Ebay's BEST Offerings

It wasn't a type I had , so had a quick look on ebay for newly listed buy it nows . There was 2 within the first dozen . One quite worn , but the other was better , but not as nice as yours .Less than a fiver ,so not a hard decision .
