    2019 A-Z 10p's

Same designs just a different date. Also same exorbitant price. I will pass on this then.
  2. I totally agree with you on this. As always they would far rather argue amongst themselves than try to sort out the mess we are in. More interested in who is in power that the job at hand.

    Encased Farthings Wanted

Just wondering if any members have any Encased Farthings they would like to part with. I am trying my hardest to find more for the collection. Or perhaps anyone going to any coin fairs could look out for me if at all possible. Unfortunately, there are no fairs in my area and what collectors shops there are don't seem to have any. Anything considered, you can see what I have in the collection from my website link below. If any dealers on here can help get in touch, please. I am also after images of any Encased Farthing I do not have for my reference section on my website that any members are willing to share.I of course, will give you a mention. I do hope some of you can help please.

    My Latest Acquisition

Just added this to the collection. Not hard to find but with a better strike than usually found I think. Am I right in thinking that the 1903 - 1907 threepences are harder to find in top condition?

    Encased Farthings

Hi, Paddy thanks for thinking of me with this one. I have seen a few of these on eBay but not an area I want to go into really. Please still keep a lookout for the Encased Farthing with the aluminum surrounds though. Once again thank for the thought.👍🏻😊

    Encased Farthings

Hi Smithy and welcome to the forum. You have asked a good question there. I have been collecting these Encased coins for about a year now and to be honest, had not really thought of that. I have seen another with the same surround and dated 1929 so the theory that they were produced the same year that the coin was struck goes out the window. The only explanation I could possibly give is that when these were produced, perhaps the year that the film came out, is that they used whatever farthing coins were available at the time of production. It certainly a puzzling one and worth more research into. Unless anyone else may have another theory that I have not thought off.
