    Ebay's Worst Offerings

As you say yourself " there are a few of us " just the same as there are some who are just trying to have people over. This thread is....Ebays worst offerings and therefore not about the people who are genuine sellers being honest.

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Typical ebay seller buy some coins cheap ,Hype them up or just say they are something that has sold for a few quid (even if they are not ) and add a nought on the price......Easy money and every seller is a winner on ebay . Cheap listing and if we dont find someone this week who we can shill or sell too we will try again in a month. SAD and the people who do it hide behind a computer thinking they are being clever , whereas most just tell lies and PISS ME OFF ☹️
  3. Definately is NOT Findlow thats a mistake 🙂
  4. Nice coin and yes scarce. The provenance is..... Baldwin St.James Edward V11 Part 2 Paul Hayward Collection. LOT 374 Incase you were not aware and are interested. https://bsjauctions.auctionmobility.com/lots/view/1-1XDHE0/united-kingdom ......................................................................................... Sorry i have just seen the ebay listing and hadnt noticed it before

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Also other indicators may help you to do the honest thing and take the listing down. If you look at the N in ONE.......The two LEGS ( straight parts ) should both be to a gap between the teeth and NOT both to teeth. The TRIDENT middle prong (fork looking thing ) should be between two TEETH and NOT just below one. Hope this helps you to confirm its NOT right.

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Why you have now registered on here ,you can read this please . Please take your RANG 1909 penny off ebay as its not as described ,not rare and not worth anything ,it isnt fake but not the scarce type. Would you not feel guilty taking some honest persons hard earned money off them ? I hope by you reporting me ebay wil remove your listing before perhaps someone possibly pays way to much. The people messaging you have given you the opportunity to take the 1909 penny off ebay yourself and you have decided not to listen. You mention you have had your coins valued and think you should question the person who did this for you , please also direct them to this site as the coin is only worth £1. The comments on this forum were not nasty and just the truth , although if you want to air your view please post on here. PETE.

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Out of order ,especially using the LCA picture to try it on even more ☹️ Hopefully someone spending that kind of money will know its not.
  11. The Andrew Wayne collection was before they stored the photographs on the computer in 2006 ,so not any pictures. LCA and Colin cooke did not keep the pictures before 2008 and can only be found in printed catalogues.

    More Pennies

THIRTY 😵 Having an email from the seller he told me a couple he got more than expected and the F38 he thought was cheap ,all evens itself out if the buyers are happy also and i thought it was a lot to list all at the same time. Its hard to gauge the price on a scarce one as if a couple of people want one it will be worth more to them and it might be a while till another turns up. I bet you were glad when the auction finished Blake 👍

    Pictures

The auction raised £17 million and he gave it all to a charity of his choice.Plenty people have a few quid who are tighter than paint. Hat off to him 👍
  17. Yes its a good point.......A downturn is a good buying opportunity 🙂 The coin cabinet auction had quite a lot of which only about half sold and although i dont know anything about most of the coins the pennies seemed to have reasonable estimates but not many bids.

    CGS slabbed coin

If you send me a PM with your email address i am happy to send you large pictures before it was slabbed ,if it helps. This may at least help to confirm if it was the same coin as sorry i dont have a clue about them. Pete.
  21. I am more than happy for you to do your own research and should you decide to do so ,you may well find a few more that you were not aware of.
  22. My evidence is down to spending hours looking and asking dealers questions 🙂i dont doubt they are scarce or as a collector i would not of paid good money for one. On the 1st of March 2016 someone who had done there homework started a thread on this forum ,he then went on to sell it at LCA. 1909 2 + E penny now there are 16 ..........Was the title of the thread and i can remember at the time phoning people up and asking dealers about them ,which i have continued to do for the last three years. Some people have one and are happy to just put in there collection and dont come on here to tell everyone and have not all been sold at auction. Yes some are still scarce including the F169 , although the number of collectors prepared to pay for one may be less than we think. Numerous others including 1863 open , 1862 Half penny date , 1860 N/Z etc were all considered rare but have now all reached numbers were IMO the prices have started to drop. I have a collection and dont want them to go down but as more are found they are unlikely to go up.....Unless new collectors want them.
  23. I think its all the same as more turn up and all relative to how many collectors will pay for one. A F169 was in LCA in Dec for £700.....It didnt sell but problem free ,this i do know as i bought it for less a couple of weeks after and now in a cgs slab. One sold a couple of weeks ago in a job lot at DNW for £550 ,again i opened the bidding at £20 and then let others get involved as it wasnt worth anywhere near £550 to me One sold on Tuesday in the Baldwin sale for £420. Dealers are obviously selling coins all the time and by speaking to them you get a better feel for the market and prices Its all the same if more keep turning up ( which they will ) the price will come down or become stagnant if people ask to much As far as the numbers there are definately more than 20 and its at this point IMO most collectors will of either bought one ,will look for one cheap on ebay etc or dont want one. The biggest problem IMO is the lack of new collectors and this if it happens is what may bring the prices back up.
  24. Yes i think it went unsold last time ,its the same collector / collection and just re-submitted ,i suppose its the benefit of splitting the auction into three parts. If one does not sell first time you can put it in again.
  25. https://bsjauctions.auctionmobility.com/lots/view/1-1XDHDY/united-kingdom Its only SOME of the low grade varieties which have become a lot more common Blake 🙂 You only need to look at some such as these in high grade.
