I don't think that he goes into the number of die pairings found for any given variety but I'm willing to be proved wrong.
-
I can only find a mention of an 1862 penny on page 31 which he describes as "as for Number 38" with 2 struck over 1, and which "should be included as Satin 38A", but none of the 1862 2 over 1 examples that I've seen are the F38 die pairing. I'm not sure that John is correct here.
Or have I missed something ?

I'll add your coin pics to my website. Would you like me to credit you by name ?

I wonder whether the management at Noonan's is aware of our feedback ?

No acknowledgement of any kind.

Yes, definitely Obv 11 - the hair to the left of the tie knot gives it away.
-
Well done - lovely coin.

There was definitely a possibility. But not worth betting on in my view.

Jerry, can you email pics to Michael Gouby so that he can update his Medusa document.

Me too but I didn't trust the photo either.

When you get down to a particular auction, either past or present, there seems to be a search facility on each auction page (I think although I can't guarantee every page has one).

Some searches work - what exactly are you finding that doesn't work ?

I never did the courtesy of a reply (or thanks) but I see that a number of my points have now been fixed.

You're too kind.

That seems like a pretty good deal to me.

I can't remember. I have an idea it was posted on the Forum several years ago but I can't remember by whom.

Actually, I think this is the best one

Yes, I got there by clicking on Auctions, then going down to Special Collections, clicking on "FILTER" and entering "Bamford" into the KEYWORD field and clicking on Search.
But on the Home page, if you click on Auctions and then click on "Archive", you get the option to click on "Featured Collections" (not Special Collections !) and if you click on Featured Collections, you get the error page. It's a real dog's dinner.
-
Doesn't work for me on Chrome or Firefox.
-
If you click on Auction Archive and then Featured Collections, an error page comes up - they've clearly made no attempt to correct this in the 2 weeks that I mentioned it to them.

Keep us posted.
I sent them a number of points mentioning that I did not have the patience to do an exhaustive system test for them and never received an acknowledgement or reply despite requesting a response.
Their reputation will go straight down the drain.

Ah yes, I hadn't recalled that or even seen it when looking through it last night - I bow to your superior knowledge, Gary 😡
