Talking of varieties does anyone know when the first 1862 6/8 was found I suspect its as recent as the late 1990's I am pretty sure there are about 25 or 30 at least known One for the penny geeks this one should not be hard as there are plenty out there

    2018 50p Next big thing?

Just noticed that 2018 shield 50ps are all the rage on the internet at the moment - I managed to find three in circulation so I dont think I have done too badly . They seem to fetch anything from £25 - £40.00 at the moment but as we know from experience these things tend to snowball (at this time of the year especially) LOL. Happy hunting

    POST bandits

About three weeks ago a leaflet came through the post with all details about how !st and second class stamps have to be used by the end oof the year . Having built up a little collection of first class stamps over the last three years or so (84 stamps to be exact) I thought about this for a while and in the end decided to send off my stamps to be changed into new ones. BAD CALL PETER , it promised on the leaflet that my stamps would be with me in a week (that was three weeks ago) and I have knowhere to complain to or to chase up my stamps. I surpose the old post office would not have been any better , so things never change. It really does annoy me that companies like this hold you too ransom then apparently steal their own product back I will of course keep you up to date and apogise if the stamps arrive - i really think the high street post offices should have been given this job

    POST bandits

Well they have arrived after three weeks or so not the seven days - I hope anyone else using this service has the same experience . GOOD LUCK EVERYONE - I had no choice but send the stamps up the only other thing I could have done was use them all in the next three months.

    Cowell Coins

Its getting harder and harder to leave bad feedback , mainly because ebay hate it because it means there are unhappy customers on their site. They make it harder and harder so in the end people either cannot or willnot leave bad feedback. In effect they are only fooling themselves by masking the problem
  12. Ian bradey would have had no chance then......
  13. Anyone else out there not to sure about the goverments help for bill payers this winter? If it happens (and I am sure it will) what will it happen in year 2 3 4 and 5 will this not add tens of billions to the national debt, all to be given to putin for his nasty little war. The point is any goverment that stops doing this "subsidy" or paying peoples bills for them will be immediately voted out of office . The goverment even compounds this by giving the Ukraine weapons and money to carry on with the war I cannot see anything else but tax rises in the future unless truss has found that magic money tree and I don't belive she has
  14. Incidently was that not the number of illegal immigrants every day last summer? And the number that ended up in Rwanda off the top of my head arround 0 I think

BMC 525 Farthing - looking for a very rough valuation

I agree while the charles II series has been very popular over the last twenty years its mostly been the silver and gold, coppers have been left out in the cold a bit - the exception is high grade halfpence and good attractive farthings . Unfortunately error and mistake coins have never really joined the party not sure why I surpose its because its always been a niche market . Ie everyone wants a high grade charles II as a type coin but few specialise in the more interesting errors

    Thanks NHS

A big thank you to everyone in the NHS and spa medica after my sucessful eye cateract operation which means fantasticly inproved sight . While I am not prepared to say I will never need glasses again , it is a posibility.. I strongly suspect cateract operations might be subject to charges as there are so many people getting them now Many colours are much enhanced and I am sure in a week or to my coins will be as well .
