  1. yes absolutley - it's kinda odd they made no mention of the royal collection - but listed the specimen for the BM collection. Weird. Do we know where all these currently are? I presume the one in London University is still there (else someone dug up the building without anyone noticing), the BM coin and the Royal Mint coins presumably haven't gone far. But what of the other two? One we know sold, and one supposedly stolen- I've been searching for references to this but so far without success - anyone have access to the "Times" database of past news articles?
  2. you know, you could at least acknowledge your source - it doesn't cost anything. oh well. What's odd is that there are 6 pennies listed above - yet I've always understood there were 7.
