Gouby 2020 Additions & Amendments
Bronze & Copper Collector replied to Cliff's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
The 2 individual sets of 3 rings worked out.... these were only 3/4 inch rings, but they matched the spacing as imaged. I just cut an unused plastic binder that I had to make front and back covers to protect the pages. Not a perfect solution, but for me it works. An additional benefit to this option, is that the pages lay flat and you can keep them with the updated guide book. -

Center space between the 2 groups of 3 is too far apart.... -

I might have found a workaround solution... I ordered this from Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07VDX2TVH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_4QALFbSH0V9A8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 it's a 3 ring grouping, supposedly with the proper spacing for the 2 individual 3 ring sections of an a5 binder. If 2 if these are used separately, you can make your own binder with the proper spacing between the 2 sections. Just make a front and back cover to protect the saved pages.. I'll let you know how it works out when I receive the shipment from Amazon.. -

I've checked the a5's on Amazon, but they don't appear to match up completely with the binder they are in. I might have to take a page in to a store and match it up properly... -

Does anyone know the size binder that is used for the guidebook??? I want to put the old pages in a separate binder for reference as it is too tight to have them in the back of the original.. Thanks -

It certainly looks like one.... More like the 7 & G's that I've seen than a 5 & G, but would have to see the obverse to be conclusive.... -
I would never have thought that it could take so many words to say NOTHING... Possibly more words in the listing than in the dictionary....

Extraordinarily GENEROUS Seller.. Unlike most that you find ..... Seriously, a lovely coin... There was a high grade slabbed example on ebay that became unavailable about a month or two ago.... I was watching it, but it was out of my price range..... Was that this specimen???

Mark Rasmussen's seemingly mysterious website
Bronze & Copper Collector replied to 1949threepence's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
It's like going into a brick and mortar store (selling anything), and everything is all over the place with no semblance of order. Extraordinarily difficult to find anything without perusing every aisle. And wasting valuable time.. -
My father was stationed there during the war..... Many fond memories of the area... They had a temporary exhibition a few years ago, that was supposed to be converted to a smaller permanent display, about its role during the war .. My dad sent them some pictures, his library card, and some other memorabilia on loan for the duration.... Not sure if it still exists though. I haven't heard back from them recently, and he asks me periodically about it. (He's 99, my mom 95, married 73 years this Oct 12). If anyone visits Bletchley Park, I'd appreciate an update...

One possible option might be to publish it on a cd, accessing as on a website, and allowing for expansion and updates. Digital images would be far superior that way than when imaged in a book.... -

One would think that, siblings or not, they would probably want to be alone with each other. They would have to remake 7 Brides for 7 Brothers as My One and Only..... -

This is similar in many respects, however I consider it to be a 5/5... I'm not sure that yours isn't a 5/5 too... That being said, I'll defer to John and Ian for a more definitive response.... -

Just the one.... For full disclosure, once I checked it off my list, I didn't actively look for more.... However it did take me awhile to find this specimen... Chingford or Alfnail might have more information regarding population... Its existence proves that they do exist though... Good Hunting..... -

I'll check it out like an EAGLE eye HAWK If it's nice, I'll be RAVEN about it. I'm just BATS about them. I might have to DUCK if it flies overhead though.. The price would have to be fair to you however, inasmuch as I would not want to be ROBIN you. Just as I would not want it to be overpriced, as I am not some PIGEON waiting to be plucked like some CHICKEN. -
