  5. I keep my coins in coin albums but have found recently that I spend more time on the hobby and less time looking at my coins. So I have ordered 4 large traditional coin trays from Predecimal.com. I think this will make access to my coins a lot simpler and therefore I will spend more time studying them. Can anyone advise if it’s ok just to place the coins in the trays or will I still need to protect them with coin frames or the clear flips etc. Thanks Mark
  6. Funny you should mention that because I have friends who have swore blind that there aircon units in their cars have made them feel ill. That’s why I always turn my aircon on about once or twice a month in winter (obviously set to a higher temperature) just to ensure everything is working well and no bacteria has too much time to build up ready for the summer months. Hope you recover soon and feel back to normal. Mark

New Book - 20thC Bronze Varieties

Hi Dave I have sent you an e-mail requesting details of how to order a copy. Thanks Mark
  8. Other than books covering the copper and bronze coinage (Peck, Bramah, Freeman etc), there are no specific farthing books that I am aware of. It is a project I am looking into at the moment. The Colin Cooke catalogues are the only other literature that used to have features on varieties etc. Good luck with the project, Colin G. Can the Colin Cooke catalogues still be purchased. I've looked on the Colin Cooke web site but it states 'At present, we have no catalogues available for purchase'.

What is the best coin collecting software

Ok, I have finally settled with Coin Manage UK from Liberty Street Software, it's just so easy to add a scan of your coin. Still running with an Excel spreadsheet though, just for the posterity.
