  3. I've been trying to amend my profile to remove the e-mail address shown, without success. Is there any reason it is not shown in my profile but appears on all my signatures?

    eBay seems fishy.

Just beware of the multitude of Commercial 'reproductions' that are supposed to emboss some sort of identification that it is, in fact, a reproduction. Unfortunately some crooks are finding ways to erase this mark. So if it is a bit pricy, especially, scrutinise it carefully. A good magnifier is a must. Study the subject before spending much.

EU referendum - in or out?

This thread sucks. Squabbles about the outcome of a referendum!!! Out won get used to it, just as we had to when Labour won elections!

EU referendum - in or out?

Ahhh! The racist slur. The weapon of losers.

EU referendum - in or out?

Let's have a referendum on plastic - in or out.

EU referendum - in or out?

Can't say I see your point. People voted and in general elections they vote in their government. Pray tell me when we elected Jean-Claude Juncker?

EU referendum - in or out?

Lots of Remainers spitting their dummy out. We live in a democracy which means the MAJORITY rule. If you don't like it - try a dictatorship. (You can get a taste in the EU)

Magna Carta £2 (not in the BU sets)

Up here, In the back of beyond (Cumbria) we will have to wait until all the 2016 coins have passed through every hand down south before we will see any. Strike that - I discovered a 2016 10p today! Normally we don't see new issues until November/December !!!

EU referendum - in or out?

So you don't think his British logic is relevant? He's the only one I've heard in this campaign that makes any sense.

EU referendum - in or out?

I think the point is that he is warning America not to make the mistakes that the EU ( and UK) are making.

EU referendum - in or out?

This is the discussion, in America, but with a UK participant, Really had me transfixed and scared me rigid. Mainly because his forecasts all made sense and were purely logical.

EU referendum - in or out?

It still doesn't seem to sink in. You CAN get rid of GB politicians, you CAN'T get rid of Eurocrats, not even the European Parliament!!!

EU referendum - in or out?

So you're quite happy ton be ruled by faceless bureaucrats sitting in Belgium without of ever being able to influence the law making process? Don't quote the MEP's they can't even change a thin, as they've already admitted. At least we can get rid of our politicians if they mess up or get too big for themselves whereas there is no mechanism in the EU for the proles to change the gravy train riders. "forward to closer political union" is the avowed aim of Brussels. Has a familiar ring to it. Boris has nailed it. Who believe who?? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3593872/17bn-true-cost-immigration-UK-year.html and who's been manipulating statistics?

EU referendum - in or out?

I don't think anyone has mentioned the main reason for voting OUT, as I am, is the fact that the EU is run by a bunch of UNELECTED mandarins and the MEP's have at last admitted that they can change NOTHING! If someone, somewhere has said this before - I don't apologise for saying it again.

Reference Guide for Early British Pennies

Books I find helpful are Wren's 'The Short-cross Coinage 1180-1247 Henry II to Henry III' & 'The Voided Long-cross Coinage 1247-1279' Withers' 'Halfpennies & Farthings. Edward III & Richard II' & 'Farthings and Halfpennies. Edward I & II' Also 'The Galata Guide to The Pennies of Edward I & II'. These suppliment my North's Vol. 1 & 2 which, to my mind, are essential. Prior reigns are similarly covered in individual publications and, if you're serious, can result in a very large library!!!
  25. Once again the statement has been made by the Royal Mint that The 'Legal tender' commemorative crowns they produce are not acceptable by banks or for use as currency. This makes a mockery of the whole British monetary system. Collectors, on the whole, knew this but youngsters and gift giving elderly people did not. Fraud perhaps?
