    My newest 6p - 1914

Are there really two types for 1887? My album is a Gardmaster and it does a good job. Only thing is it wasn't marked and I had to handwrite all the dates. I think I may have messed up a bit but that is what they make white out for, lol. Too bad Dansco doesn't make albums for Canadian or British coinage.

    My newest 6p - 1914

Thanks to you all for the kind comments. I have more if you would like to see them? I finally got me a decent camera and have started cataloging my collection since last night. These are some of the first pics I took. Here is my 1935 which I really like alot. I like all my tanners actually, lol. It's nice to finally have a camera.
  3. Sorry I haven't been around in awhile. My apologies. Here is my latest 6p that I got off of eBay recently. A very nice addition to my six pence collection, which is now growing rather well. I really love collecting these. Just about the size of an American nickel, which is another one of my favorites, and with silver content up until 1946, I just somehow gravitated toward them when I purchased my first batch. Enjoy the pictures. Comments always welcome.

    A 10p In Change

I had lots of fun watching it though. How is the information on Wikipedia? I started reading from Queen Elizabeth II all the way down to as far as it will go as far as the predecessor links. My wife thought I was nuts because I sat and read one night for almost 3 hours. I like history which is probably why I like coins.

    A 10p In Change

HM isn't going to be very pleased at being demoted to an HRH I would like to know the difference. I have been getting into British coins and even the history of Britain in the past few months. I watched a special on the History Channel last weekend about Boudica, it was awesome because I didn't know anything about Britain during that time and had no idea there was such a massive battle against the Romans that far back. It was an awesome program.

    1711 Queen Anne Holed 6p

I received my GB price guide a few days ago and am very pleased with all the new information it is giving me about the British coins I have, especially my 6d. Thank you for having this book available Chris.
  7. Am looking for some online resources for completing my 6p set if anybody has any links. I especially need a place that has 30's and 40's and won't cost too much. Am having a hard time finding some of these on eBay even. Thanks. Dean

I didn't win it, lol. Is ok, I wanted it but didn't want it. If that makes any sense.

That's a good point. I didn't check that too close, I should do that more often. I did bid on it but didn't put but the minimum and if someone pops another 25 cents on it it is theirs to have. Seems like eBay is like going to the casino anymore these days. LOL!

    1711 Queen Anne Holed 6p

Thank you all for the help. I think I will get it, with postage it will come to approximately £5 ($10US). It will be the oldest one I have and I suppose I could always sell or give away in the future if I happen upon a better one. The oldest 6p I have to date is my 1834 William IV 6p and my 1887 Victoria 6p (w/coat of arms on reverse). Wish I could get my camera going better but am waiting to build me a copy stand in a couple weekends so I can get better pics.
  11. Hi all. Is this coin on eBay worth the price if it has had a hole drilled in it? I would like to get it for my tanner set but don't have a Spinks catalog yet to be able to look up the rarity of these older coins. Thank you for any help you can provide. 1711 Queen Anne 6p eBay link Cheers, Dean Irishraider
