  1. Exactly! I was clearing a friend's overgrown area in her garden, and there was a berbers that I took great pleasure in chopping up. It got me very time I went near it, and the spikes went in and broke off. Horrible. Every day, another 'minor operation'....
  2. And the horses expression......I have to carry this idiot...I've had enough.....
  3. I've tentatively put some of the bigger spikey stuff out so I have room to work, and it's not as lethal- those spikes are over a metre long now...
  4. I've done that much gardening that anyone who dared to visit would no doubt get re-potted....
  5. Some tradesmen are having to postpone jobs....... For example, we were supposed to be getting some wiring done, but the electrician called the other day to say he has a bug that he thinks he caught from his last customer while he was fitting their garage lights. He suspects he has car owner virus and has currently gone to earth, resisting the temptation to carry on circulating by staying ohm, grounding himself and in the main switching off. He doesn’t know for sure watt the bug is but is confident it’s not terminal. However, he says he doesn’t want to be a conduit for infection, so he’s decided to conduct himself responsibly and self insulate to avoid giving anyone a nasty shock. I think that’s a positive, so I’m happy to give him a plug.

Thanks- I wasn't sure...It's the first thing I do on Ebay, is the 1874's... Lower grade pennies that aren't supposed to have the sea cross the linear circle get tricky and blurred. I have most trouble like this with low grade 1861's.....

Oh GREAT!!!....been looking for one for years, but wanted to spend nothing- other fish being fried as we speak. £1.76 inc postage. I think a bargain...:) That's a gap filled, and completes my 1874 set of the 13 basics ( according to Michael Gouby).....

I know this post is related to pennies for once - unusual for me- but could the Eagle Eyes look at this and decide what it is? Thanks!
  9. Today, my stock of ATC 3" mids - a crazily expensive collection..
  10. True story- a friend of mine has a mate in London, who has a wife and a daughter. The daughter went to school with Brian Blessed's daughter, and got invited to their house for tea. Brian Blessed came home, and upon entering the kitchen and seeing this new girl in the room, bellowed "Who the f*** are you?" really loudly....!!
  11. I've bought coins via live bidding and only realised when I woke up the next morning...
  12. Ha! Saw that, and remembered this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2rX-1rTuhE
  13. Sadly, no. I heard my wife laughing ( She works with me on audio electronics) from the office and I thought I would share the horror!
  14. Very good -my wife sent me my original post, but you've spent all this time knocking this together!!

I remember the South African Police being asked about integration in the late 1970's, in those dark racist days there. The Police Chief said there was nothing to worry about, since: "our boys are up all night integrating suspects"... Must get a snack - all this talking has given me quite an apartheid.....

The solutions on Wiki are under 'Recreational Mathematics'. I glanced at them and had to go and lie down.
  17. Ooh...there isn't a 'like' style for " blimey mate hope all is now OK..." (Poinciana seeds in pots in greenhouse! )

Yes, it did rather wander off- passion in different areas leads to this quite often. How about anyone, as soon as different topics are 'popping up' could say " meet me in the **** area" ? (I was going to type "meet me in the xxxx area", but i felt that that would have some strange connotations...:) )

Meade ETX90 with solar filter, photo par focal, down the eyepiece. About 3 out of 50 were reasonable! I took pictures of my feet, the sky, the car park.....
