    1762 George III Unknown coin.

Looks as if its been gold gilt at one stage. Most likely a fake yes and not a very good one. Counterfeiting was rife in those days. Bung it on ebay if your not interested in keeping it , there's a market for contemporary Georgian counterfeits.

    unknown coin 2 please help

It has the look of a scottish coin especially the reverse. My first reaction was a short cross type of William the Lion. Be worth taking that to your local finds liason officer for an opinion. Its an oddity I'll say that. Be interesting to see if anyone else can shed any light on it.

    help britannian

Yes thats normal. If its George I the kings bust or image is right facing usually and George II will be left then George III is right. I say usually as counterfeits ( Evasion pieces) do not always follow those rules. If you look on google at image's of coins by those monarchs you should in theory be able to recognise the type of coin and who it belongs too. Work's for me and I've dug up some really smooth featureless coins before that I've been able to attribute. Regards Stuart.
  4. Seen a few of these on ebay with initials etched into them. Usually sell for around £85 mark. Last one that i saw had MW etched into it. Don't try to clean it. It looks great. A really nice coin. ?

    My one if it helps.
  9. High sorry to hear this. I don't slab my coins so don't use any grading services but I do occasionally converse with french people. I use google translate to write my message's then copy and paste the translation into an email. You could try using that then fire an email off to them in French. Hope this helps. Stu.

Pain in the a**e Indian gentleman(?)

Lol. I've seen people like this before on G+ asking 50k for a Victorian rupee. I used to get them sending me msgs and harassing me to buy coins you could pick up at car boot sales for a few quid asking for ludicrous amounts of money. Always with a WhatsApp number. Irritating to say the least.
