    Another Ebay purchase I am pleased with arrived yesterday, surprised there were not more bidders as got it for £70. Nice F18, not advertised as such and much better than most, fairly worn dies as usual but little wear and a nice tone. Jerry

    I see it's noted as a Freeman 827, and he has them as R16 (51 to 100 specimens believed to exist). That's from page 190 of his book "The Bronze Coinage of Great Britain" - 1985 edition.

    Definitely - uncharismatic die-pairing but very hard to find in decent grade.

    I think you'd be within your rights to send it back because it is not as described. It is described as very high grade and it is not.
