Badger,
Nice farthing, I have a website where I am currently trying to identify different farthing varieties. The 1875H is one of the years that has the most variations. The good old Heaton mint always seemed to produce plenty of varieties!! The obverse you have on your farthing is one of the scarcer varieties, which has the E in REG complete and a full colon after FD (not that it will add much value) because not many people tend to collect varieties to this level of detail. The interesting thing is that the example you have has a different reverse from the example I have. Therefore I would like to add it to the site as a new obverse/reverse combination

. Do you have the facility to scan the coin at 1200dpi? If you do, could I be cheeky and ask to send me a copy via e-mail.

Badger,
Me again!! The farthing you have in your posession if the images are correct is an extremely rare variety. I did not realise it at first but the variety you have shown has the full brooch on the bodice and is the "younger portrait" (5 berries) Freeman 530. It is a mule of an obverse and reverse that was not intended to be used.
Go on upset me how much did you pay, and where did you get it. I am still very much interested in images if you can provide them. Are you interested in selling?
