It is with great sadness that
I must announce the coins listed on this page and the Choice Crowns page as being unavailable due to the
sudden death of my associate Mr Rosner in America who owned the coins and
commissioned me sell them to a European audience.
I will keep the coins listed here
for reference at the moment and update this paragraph with any news on the
situation.
These unfortunate
circumstances do not affect the other coins on this site.
Listed on this page are some choice British Crown coins including very rare examples and a superb and incredibly rare 1934 Wreath Crown. They are often far better than the usual 'Uncirculated' coin and are priced accordingly.

1897 Crown LXI AU (GEF)
S-3937, ESC 313. Very flashy lustre. Relatively clean obverse surfaces with a minimum of shallow marks. The reverse is choice. Well struck save for some weakness at the highest relief points on St. George. Rims are excellent with only a trivial "ding" at 11:00 on the obverse, hardly worthy of mention. Very minor toning/light stain behind St. George's head. Llightly dipped in the past, probably in an attempt to remove the stain behind St George. Remaining a lovely example of the type.
£125.00
1902 Crown aUNC
RESERVED for a customer in Taiwan.
S-3978, ESC 361. Nice original lustre with lovely golden red iridescent toning (much more pleasing than in the photos) at the rims on both sides. Only the slightest cabinet rub is in evidence on the highest points of the beard and mustache on the obverse. Some scattered, small contact marks on the obverse. The reverse field and devices are very clean. No rim problems. An attractive, problem-free and nearly uncirculated example of this one year type.
£115.00
1927 Crown Choice Proof
RESERVED for a customer in Great Britain. (other 1927's are available, please enquire)
S-4036, ESC 367. Lovely, unblemished example of this proof-only issue. Completely untoned with moderately mirrored, unmarked surfaces. Perfect rims. A very nice example of this popular issue.
£140.00
1928 Crown EF
S-4036, ESC 368. Nice, problem-free example of this issue of which only 9034 pieces were struck. Some original luster is still in evidence. The surfaces show only a few minor abrasions while the rims are very nice. Only slight wear is evident with all the design features still possessing excellent detail.
£135.00
1934 Crown GEF - AUNC
S-4036, ESC 374. R2 Very Rare. Lustrous and completely untoned example of this modern English rarity (only 932 pieces struck). So little actual wear that some would call it "uncirculated". Well struck with all detail evident. A few scattered, minor marks on the obverse while the reverse is nearly pristine. Rims are excellent with only a microscopic "ding" at 12:30 on the obverse visible. Much in demand, this particular piece would be a highly prized item in almost any collection.
£1250.00
1935 Crown Raised Edge
Proof
S-4050, ESC 378. Rare. Stunning example of this rare (2500 issued) proof in .925 silver. Delicate field toning (more subtle than it appears in the photo) contrasts beautifully with the lighter devices giving somewhat of a cameo appearance. The surfaces are very clean save for some minor "cabinet friction" on the highest points of the obverse (which is amplified in the digital photo). This lovely coin comes with its original red box of issue.
£250.00
1935 Crown Specimen Gem UNC
S-4049, ESC 376. Flawless example of the specimen striking that was issued to the applicants who did not receive one of the over-subscribed proofs. Unbroken, soft lustre over mark-free surfaces. Sharply struck. The box of issue is missing, but this is clearly the specimen striking.
£40.00
